Raising Humans in a Digital World
I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m Cass, a developmental psychologist, researcher, PhD candidate, and mom!
I spend my days studying how kids grow, develop relationships, understand sexuality, and make sense of the world around them.
And honestly? I started The Science of Raising Humans because parents deserve better than fear, shame, and a new thing to panic about every week. So, you’re probably here because you saw one of my videos about sex, screens, bodies, development, or one of those parenting conversations that makes you think, “Okay… but WHAT am I actually supposed to say or do?”
That’s exactly what I’m here for.
Start with my free guide:
What to Actually Say About Phones, Social Media, and Yes, Porn.
Inside, I give you practical language for some of the conversations parents are often most nervous about having, with ZERO SHAME, SCARE TACTICS, or simply pretending kids aren’t curious - they are! Just good ol’ developmental science translated into words you can actually use with your kiddo.
And this is just the beginning, team. I’m building something much bigger here — a growing library of practical, research-informed resources grounded in developmental science for the conversations parents are so often left to figure out on their own. We’ve already started with porn, screens, and social media — and there is SO much more coming. The awkward conversations. The tricky moments. The stuff you Google at 11 p.m. because you have no idea what to say. That’s what I’m building this space for. We’re just getting started. LET’S GOOOO.
I’m absolutely thrilled you found me.
This is, The Science of Raising Humans. 🫶🏼
